Phantom, The 'dying' out is likely the rev limiter at 4,100 rpm because you have the wrong engine spec.  It's confusing but the 'JUNIOR' is a 3 hp restricted engine intended for the kids kart market that was branded and sold for the last 3 years before the 'LO206' was adopted into the NHRA.  If you could confirm my theory to what you are seeing is correct we can figure it out.

I would be willing, on a internet 'handshake', swap the ignition module and carburetor slide so you have the proper changes that make it a LO206 at no cost.  Lets get you having fun and burning some rubber well beyond 60 feet! [smile]

Let me know

It's all in getting the carb set up correctly.
You probably don't need to change the jets.
Getting the float level right is the most important thing.
Here are some pictures that might help:

Depending on weather you have a restrictor plate, long slide or the standard Black slide determines what the float should be set at.
With out knowing what you have it would be too much to type on here.
If you want to call me i'll be happy to explain.

We would be more then happy to assist you in sorting out your combo. Sounds as if perhaps your clutch may simply be the issue. What type of clutch do you have on the LO206. T
