We are looking at possibly purchasing a LO 206 to use at our Chonda dominated sprint kart club, how do they stack-up against a BSP Chonda? All things being equal, I.e. optimal gearing used, no modifications beyond the rules, etc...

The 206 is hand-built in Wisconsin for racing using dedicated tooling and dies for consistency, premium materials and vendors, with a factory supported rule set and built from a race platform with  12 years of history of proven, durability.

The other is mass-produced and built as a throw-away,entry level lawn and garden engine. 

What were we talking about again? lol 

In all honesty the programs are so different it is hard to find a starting point to begin comparing. 

The 206 engine has 3 years of proven, out-of-the-box wins at the highest levels of racing.  I would just tell you to research both  and ask those racing our 206 platform about their experience.  The differences will be apparent.

Judging by lack of response to my original question, let me try again. Is there anyone out there whom has run a LO 206 (stock) at the same track with anyone running a BSP Chonda? My local track does not have any Briggs of any kind running so we would have to run against Chondas in a bracket class. Will we get ran over or be competitive?

If you ran them head's up, in same class to the BSP rules, somewhat track dependent, the 206 should outperform the Chonda.  That has been seen on sprint, oval, and enduro tracks.  You can likely look up the Rock Island, Norway (I forget what it's called today), the Southern Kart Club, and others on MYlaps to see for yourself.

There are tracks that have blended the classes.  Volusia comes to mind.  I think they do it with weight, maybe 25#? 

I get asked this question a lot and my first response is WHAT rule set are the Chondas running and is there tech?  Most tracks it's a free for all so to give you an honest answer becomes a little difficult.

IF BSP rules are followed I would say the edge falls to the 206 looking at the various laptimes from around the country.

We mix engines at the limited modified level and it is always a close race. However, I personally think the LO206 should have an advantage against the BSP because the clones tend to be sluggish off of the start. On a track with lots of turns, this becomes a problem. At the very least it will be competitive. Unfortunately, we do not mix engines in this class, so I have no definitive experience to share with you.
